Bigger, Stronger, Faster

Ok, I'll be the first to admit I never saw Steve Austin become bigger, stronger, and faster in the Six Million Dollar Man, but I do know that, "we have the technology" and I am about to bring it to you!  You probably have already noticed some minor cosmetic changes in my blog.  I had to shake it up a little bit to prepare to give you, my dedicated reader, a better viewing experience.  That's right, I am doing this all for you.  Be on the lookout for bigger pictures, coming soon!

Sweet Baby Sophia {Harford County Newborn Photography}

I can't begin to describe to you in words how cute little two month old Sophia Lynn was. She was fed and ready to go when I arrived and we headed right up to her room for some real life memories. Sophia just loves her mommy... being with her, gazing at her, playing with her... so being with mom Laura was the perfect place to start.

And it's never long before curious siblings arrive. Big brother Ryan is so good with his sister. Laura had mentioned earlier that Ryan loved to put bows in Sophia's hair. He came right in and got to work. Here's a shot of him in action... what an adorable big brother job. Watch out future boyfriends, this guy is going to be looking out for little sis!

Some more pictures of Sophia...

Thank you so much Laura and Eric for having me into your home, I can't wait to see Sophia as she grows!

Kelly and John {Harford County Maternity Photography}

Kelly and John were connected to me by a mutual friend and we squeezed in a Maternity Session the last day of my recent visit to Maryland. I went there to try and get out of the heat, but I'll tell you it was hot in Maryland that day, too! It didn't matter though because Kelly and John are so nice they just rolled with it, and we got some amazing pictures.

Kelly is so friendly and beautiful, and she was up for trying anything I wanted which was great! She is one of those pregnant mommies who just does it with grace. I am so excited to meet their little baby and find out what they are having!

Here are some pictures from the session. These two are going to make amazing parents!

We took a few shots at their house...

Here's Kelly in the baby's room. They had a present from a friend in the room that was a onesie that came in a bag that said, "Why wait? Find out what your child will grow up to be." The onesie said their baby was going to be a criminal mastermind - too funny!

Headed outside from some evening sun. Just before I took this picture the sun turned completely orange through the trees. It was beautiful and so are they!

One last one of Kelly...

Kelly and John, I had a great time getting to know you and photographing you both, and I hope that little peanut arrives at the right time for his or her newborn photos :)

Tiny Dancers {Phoenix Children's Photography}

My daughter is in a wonderful dance program at Alyssa's Little Dancers here in Maricopa. She just loves it, and has met some new friends there. It's great for me, too, because I get to hang out with the mommies and relax for 60 minutes while our kiddos have fun! Sometimes I even dare to pick up a grande skinny vanilla latte before I go there.

Here are some pictures from their photo session a few months ago, which happened very last minute after some coordinating difficulties with the students and Alyssa's photographer. I normally shoot outdoors in natural light or in home, so it was my first crack at studio portraiture and a great learning experience for me.

This one's mine!...

The bows were handmade by a friend of mine named Jessica. Her website is www.butterflybowsandbibs.blogspot.com - they're great and she can custom make anything you want, even create the perfect bow to match an outfit you already have.

Beauty and the Beast {Harford County Engagement Photographer}

Ok, you are thinking, "How cruel is this woman to title an engagement session 'Beauty and the Beast'? Horrible! I'm out of here!" But wait wait... hold on just a minute! I promise I'm not like that, really I don't have it in me.

Dickie recently proposed to Stephanie on stage at the end of one of the many plays the two have been involved in over the years. Oh yes, people, he is good! One of those guys who gives his fiancee a great story to tell and remember about the proposal. They are both active actors and you can usually find one or the other involved in a Maryland play in one way or another.

Not only do they love the stage, but Stephanie has loved all things Disney since she entered this world... and I know because I've known her almost that long. They decided to have a "Beauty and the Beast" themed wedding, hence the title. Got your attention though didn't it? For the record Stephanie and Dickie are both fabulously beautiful people and here are some pictures from their engagement session to prove it...

Dickie wasn't feeling good at all that day, but he was a trooper!

And the ring... I just picked this little beauty right out of the ground for this shot. Then I tried to put it back like nothing had happened, but I think that little flower garden was on to me.

Stephanie and Dickie I am so excited and happy for you both, I had a blast and probably too many laughs photographing the two of you, thanks!

Jason and Sarah get Married {Maryland Wedding Photography}

I recently had the pleasure of traveling to the beautiful countryside of Connecticut for Jason and Sarah's wedding. Were two people made to fit more perfectly with each other? After witnessing these two tie their lives to each other I'm not sure. The little details combined with the love and friendship of their guests made for a truly unique, once in a lifetime, amazing experience for everyone involved. Here are some pictures from the big day.

The beautiful bride...

Sarah and Jason right after "I do"....

The amazing boathouse at The Salisbury School where they were married and where Jason taught for many years. This was also school to many of the men in Sarah's family. I love the boat in the roof....

Sarah came prepared with this tissue for Jason and gave it to him as soon as she walked up the isle. It was such a sweet gesture...

Jason on his way into the boathouse...
